This role will be primarily working virtually from home; however, there will be occassions for the invididual to work from our Dallas, Tx office.

What the day will look like

We are seeking a talented and versatile Front-End Web and Graphic Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and user-friendly web experiences, as well as designing graphics for various digital and print materials. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, client delivery, and sales, to ensure that our & our client's brands are consistently represented, and our online presence is engaging and effective.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

Responsibilities:

  • Web Design and Development:
    • Design and develop responsive websites and web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other front-end technologies.
    • Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to effectively communicate design ideas.
    • Ensure website functionality, usability, and accessibility across different browsers and devices.
    • Optimize websites for performance and loading speed.
    • Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate front-end components with server-side logic.
    • Maintain and update existing websites, including content updates, feature enhancements, and bug fixes.
  • Graphic Design:
    • Design and create visually compelling graphics for various digital and print materials, including website banners, email templates, presentations, and marketing collateral.
    • Develop and maintain brand guidelines, ensuring consistency across all visual assets.
    • Work with marketing and content teams to develop creative concepts and visual solutions that support marketing campaigns and business objectives.
    • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, from concept to completion, while adhering to deadlines.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Graphic Design, Web Design, or a related field.
  • Proven experience 5-8 years as a Front-End Web Designer and Graphic Designer.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing web design and graphic design projects.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with front-end frameworks and libraries such as Bootstrap, Angular and jQuery.
  • Proficiency in graphic design software, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.
  • Knowledge of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design principles.
  • Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and testing.
  • Understanding of email application compatibility issues and testing.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with motion graphics and video editing.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices.
  • Familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG).

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $60,000 to $85.000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any [bonus] [production incentives] varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
