*Description*
One of our top financial services customers has multiple network security workloads in progress and they need additional engineering support. The primary workload for this team is migrating existing Checkpoint firewalls to both Palo Alto and Fortinet platforms. They have over 2,000 firewalls across the enterprise and still have 300 remaining for migration. 250+ need to be completed by EOY and those will be focused on domestic devices. International devices will push to 2026. This includes the majority of the migration lifecycle: 1) discovery about existing firewall - where is it connected, existing connections and policies, etc 2) work with network team to find out where they belong via network map 3) build firewalls (some of initial build is done by a bench team - rack/stack, etc.) and then move traffic from old to new; 4) deploying firewalls in accordance with change management processes (sometimes at night!) 5) policy migrations - have some tools to migrate but can't just use tools - Must know how to verify and build policies from scratch. 6) After a week they will decom old firewalls. Initially they will shadow another engineer to understand the customer's process A second project that is underway is building new firewalls for new Data Centers - it' s templated process so it's pretty simple. Another team is doing this work but this assignment could expand depending on workloads/bandwidth. *Skills* Firewall, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Checkpoint, Firewall management, Command Line *Top Skills Details* Firewall,Palo Alto,Fortinet,Checkpoint,Firewall management,Command Line *Additional Skills & Qualifications* - Experience in heavy change management environments. *Experience Level* Intermediate Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $53.60 - $53.60/hr.
