*Description*
Set up and perform startups and shutdowns of equipment (e.g., racks, hard drives, switches). Conduct post-execution quality checks and ensure proper setup of grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling. Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting, identify issues, and replace faulty components. Decommission hardware for simple changes and refreshes (e.g., memory upgrades, OS rebuilds). Communicate, report, and escalate incidents to Datacenter Technician Leads. *Requirements:* High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components. 1+ year(s) experience supporting IT equipment or related technology. Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word). Flexibility to work non-standard business hours, including weekends and/or holidays. Previous datacenter experience is a plus. *Skills* Data center, Hardware, Cabling, Rack and stack, Cable, Hardware troubleshooting *Additional Skills & Qualifications* Looking for L2 DC Techs Needed PPE Feet: composite toe-boots which cover the ankle, has a slip resistant sole, and meets specifications set-forth in the American Society of Testing Material (ASTM) International Standard F2413-05, Standard Specification for Performance Requirements for Protective (Safety) Toe Cap Footwear. Eyes: ANSI, CE, or EN approved Safety Glasses with side shields Hands: Level 5 cut/abrasion/impact- resistant gloves High Visibility Vests Head: ANSI, CE, or EN approved Hard Hat or bump cap *Experience Level* Entry Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
