The technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and startup of various electrical and control equipment, including life safety and security systems. This role requires collaboration across trades and availability for emergency response and utility shutdowns. Shift: Wed-Sat 0600-1600 Requirements: Experience in installation, testing, repair, calibration, and troubleshooting of: Control devices Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) Microprocessor-based controllers Ability to: Perform field service work on electrical, mechanical, and process control systems Support start-up of industrial process and mechanical equipment Install, test, and maintain addressable fire alarm systems Maintain and troubleshoot security and access control systems Maintain toxic and flammable gas life safety detection systems Availability for: 24/7 emergency response support (electrical, fire alarm, security, and control systems) Periodic call-ins Two semi-annual utility shutdowns Strong commitment to: Safe work practices following OSHA and EHS guidelines Supporting other trades and service personnel as needed At MIT Lincoln Laboratory, our exceptional career opportunities include many outstanding benefits to help you stay healthy, feel supported, and enjoy a fulfilling work-life balance.
