IDEXX Veterinary Software division (VetSoft) is currently hiring a Revenue Operations Manager. This opportunity plays a pivotal role in delivering and aligning teams around shared revenue targets and business objectives. This involves setting strategic goals, optimizing processes, and ensuring operational excellence to drive revenue growth within VetSoft sales. The role demands a strong focus on developing and managing a comprehensive roadmap of strategic initiatives, including annual growth planning and long-term plan development. A key responsibility includes establishing targets, quota allocation, defining go-to-market motions, and playing a crucial role as a strategic advisor to sales leadership. This position also entails full ownership of the revenue forecasting methodology, process, and operational cadence, ensuring the efficiency and productivity of the revenue organization are maximized.

The Revenue Operations Manager will be responsible for building rapport, alignment, and operational advocacy among senior management and the executive team. They will ensure the maintenance of seamless collaboration and continuity across all revenue streams and the customer engagement lifecycle. The Revenue Operations Manager will evaluate, design, and implement the processes, programs, and systems to support the company's revenue growth.

In this role, the Revenue Operations Manager is responsible for advising on and optimizing the technology & tools of the VetSoft organization, including the go-to-market technology stack, to facilitate efficient decision-making and maintain data integrity. The Revenue Operations Manager leads ongoing improvements in reporting on sales quota attainment, pipeline, forecasting, and delivering key business revenue analytics and insights.

This role requires fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in sales enablement practices and ensuring alignment with the company's culture and values and strategic directions.

A critical aspect of this role is to foster close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the company's overall success. This includes collaborating with senior/executive leaders across various departments, such as marketing, customer success, finance, legal, and product teams, to drive annual revenue operations planning cycles and align cross-functional business efforts. The Revenue Operations Manager must stay informed about industry trends and market dynamics, adapting strategies and processes accordingly, and playing a key role in risk assessment and mitigation to safeguard revenue goals.

The Revenue Operations Manager is instrumental in collaborating/managing the global revenue growth strategy, operations, and go-to-market initiatives. The Revenue Operations Manager leverages performance analytics and industry data to build and influence cross-functional revenue programs. The role demands an emphasis on sustainable practices for long-term growth, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, and maintaining strong internal & external partnerships. Additionally, a focus on mentorship and professional development within the team is essential to cultivate a culture of excellence and continuous learning.

In this role you will:

  • Lead the Global Revenue Operations team to develop and manage a comprehensive roadmap of strategic initiatives, market plans and forecasts, using a systematic approach to balance immediate requirements with our long-term strategic vision.

  • Manage revenue growth strategy, execution and data analysis in conjunction with the VP of Sales in order to support global go-to-market initiatives. Build strong working relationships with executives and key leaders across GTM teams (e.g. product, engineering, marketing, services, information technology and finance) and influence the goals and priorities of stakeholders whose mission aligns with that of field operations

  • Optimize the go-to-market technology stack, analyzing current tool utilization and data integrity while recommending changes that will help the team pull the right data to influence and enable key business decisions to be made.

  • Be a strategic advisor in our annual growth planning and long-range plan development to set targets and quota allocation across each of the teams, define our go-to-market motion including compensation plan changes and territory planning and work with partners in HR and Finance to determine headcount and future investment needs.

  • Work with sales leadership and the Compensation Research within the CAG Commercial team to help establish and update current sales compensation programs, policies, and procedures to drive and incentivize the right behaviors.

  • Drive improvements to reporting on sales quota attainment, pipeline through each stage of the funnel, and sales forecasting. Deliver analytics and insights to sales & finance leadership that measures key performance indicators.

  • Report and assist in managing the overall productivity and effectiveness of the revenue organization.

  • Foster close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the company's success.

  • Collaborate with senior leaders of Sales, Implementation and Marketing to drive annual revenue operations planning cycles and alignment across Veterinary software.

  • Develop and influence new processes and technologies that optimize the path for supporting the revenue growth of the businesses globally across all routes to market.

  • Build and leverage performance analytics to assist GTM leaders in attaining revenue growth initiatives.

  • Build, develop and manage a diverse team of high-performing managers: Building and maintaining a world-class, inclusive, diverse, high-performing team by driving effective onboarding, on-going training, retention with a strong remote culture.

  • Full ownership of the revenue forecasting methodology, process and weekly operational cadence.

  • Coordinate with Finance, Marketing and other departments to provide meaningful reporting, metrics and analysis that deliver key business insights.

  • Develop business revenue plans and forecasts aligned to the agreed strategies and go to market plans.

What you need to succeed:

  • 10+ years in a Sales Revenue Manager role function and tooling of a high growth SaaS business.

  • Has developed expertise in a range of processes and procedures, typically through combination of job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience.

  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM and any additional tools that will help the marketing and sales organization advance their ability to exceed its goals.

  • Work typically involves technical skills and/or administrative duties, including a variety of atypical assignments.

  • Works autonomously within established procedures and practices.

  • Management skills and ability.

  • Ability to organize, prioritize and direct work activities.

  • Excellent customer service and business relationship-building skills required.

  • Organized with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

  • Reasoning, problem solving and analytical skills to resolve issues.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Location & Travel: You will need to be within a reasonable driving distance our headquarters in Westbrook, ME.
