Position Overview
This position contributes to the School of Social Welfare's vision of transformational social work education in an environment that is welcoming to all. A practicum liaison in the School of Social Welfare serves in a part-time capacity responsible for being the central contact between the School practicum office, BSW and MSW students who are placed in agencies, and their supervisors. The liaison works within the practicum program to help ensure that the BSW and MSW students are provided appropriate social work learning opportunities to meet practicum education requirements outlined by the Council on Social Work Education.
Amount of work required can vary by position and will range from .20 FTE to 1.0 FTE Applicants will be reviewed and placed in a pool to be considered for liaison positions as needed. Applicants will be accepted through June 12th. The successful applicants must have appropriate authorization to work in the U.S. before employment begins. Position may be located on the Lawrence, Salina, or Edwards Campuses; or Remote. Due to complex state employment laws, the University of Kansas may be unable to hire fully remote workers for this position outside of Kansas. Specifically, we cannot currently offer employment to candidates residing in the following states: California and Delaware.
