The Clinical Administrative Coordinators (CAC) provide administrative support to Health Services teams through a variety of tasks designed to help teams promote the independence and well-being of Members while meeting State contract requirements. CACs follow identified processes, meet expected deadlines and deliver exceptional customer service.

Schedule: This is for a full-time (40 hours/week). Schedule is Monday through Friday any 8-hour or 10- hour shift to be determined by the hiring manager between the hours of 7am to 6pm Central Standard Time.

Location: Remote is the state of Kansas or Missouri - most live within 50 miles of the Overland Park, KS Office.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Sending correspondence to Members and providers such as service plans and letters
  • Entering requests for HCBS Waiver authorizations from services identified in the Member service plan
  • Updating Member information in the Health Plan's care management system, such as eligibility and program lines
  • Perform Business Segment Liaison (BSL) activities for Health Services, including ordering new and replacement supplies for Health Services team members
  • Research Member information in multiple systems including the care management system, the State eligibility system, and authorization and billing systems
  • Consistently follow defined processes, meet identified timelines and meet established productivity expectations
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Word, Excel (create, edit, save documents) and Outlook (email and calendar management) be able to use multiple web applications
  • Reside in the state of Kansas or Missouri and reside within 50 miles of the Overland Park, KS office
  • Must be open to going into the office once a week
  • Access to a designated quiet workspace in your home (separated from non-workspace areas) with the ability to secure Protected Health Information (PHI)
  • Live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
  • Access to reliable transportation and possess a valid US driver's license


Preferred Qualifications:



  • 1+ years of experience working with medical terminology
  • Experience working within the health care Industry and with health care insurance
  • Experience working in a hospital, physician's office or medical clinic setting
  • Prior work at home experience
  • A clerical or administrative support background

The salary range for this role is $16.88 to $33.22 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
