We have openings in a department within Bell Labs that performs groundbreaking research for systems, systems science, and cybersecurity to advance the state of the art in dependable and secure communications systems and technologies. One area of focus is developing and applying quantum theory and technologies for secure communications, computation, and their convergence. This includes a range of interrelated topics such as quantum networking and distributed quantum computation. Our work involves developing state-of-the-art utilization of emerging quantum technologies to impact the next generation of networking and the network-compute continuum. This position is for a highly motivated individual versant in quantum information science and related fields who can perform research at the forefront of quantum communications. The candidate will bridge theoretical concepts with practical implementations, advancing research in quantum networking, distributed quantum computation, and their applications.
