Job Description

Essential Functions

  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
  • Contribute to the development of grant proposals and potential projects
  • Conduct literature reviews and summarize findings in writing
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of research projects, including measurement selection and development and project timetable development, implementation and monitoring
  • Manage assigned project activities to meet objectives and goals
  • Contribute to the writing of manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals
  • Design databases for data collection
  • Analyze and interpret data using SAS and/or SPSS and/or STATA1
  • Interview patients and conduct focus groups in accordance with research protocols
  • Coordinate data collection
  • Coordinate data entry and management activities and perform data coding and entry
  • Disseminate project results through poster or podium presentations
  • Serve as a liaison to internal and external clients
  • Communicate effectively with team members to create a successful working relationship
  • Participate in education activities offered by the College, including organizing discussions for research meetings
  • Other duties, as assigned

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required):

Analytical skills essential to recognize and objectively evaluate the steps needed to complete project tasks, identify and apply statistical tests needed to analyze data for project results, generate ideas for potential projects and effectively solve problems; must possess expertise in grant writing, statistical analysis and data interpretation.

Excellent oral and written communication skills necessary for publishing in peer-reviewed journals and presenting projects at national conferences; must work effectively in team settings; must effectively generate ideas, initiate project tasks and present topics in a professional setting.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Education: Includes High School Diploma or GED, Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree (Specify field). Also includes Schools like Medical Assistant, etc. NO listings like Bachelor's degree or relevant experience.

Experience: Only years of experience in a particular setting, e.g. "5 years of experience in a doctor's office required."

Education:

Must have degree and/or significant experience in a field related to health services research or outcomes research; (PharmD preferred). For physician fellowship, MD degree required with U.S. board licensure or U.S. board eligibility.

AND

Experience:
