The Occupational Therapist I provide occupational therapy services including evaluation, treatment, follow up and documentation using general competencies for inpatients and/or outpatients referred to the OT department. Provides supervision for therapy aides/assistants and students with specific patients or tasks as appropriate. Provides continuous consultation and education to families. The Occupational Therapist I is an entry level position in a Career Advancement Program (CAP). Position on the pediatric hand therapy team, treating hand and upper extremity conditions. CHT is preferred but not required. Experience in hand and upper extremity conditions/injuries required. Additional Information Qualifications EDUCATION -Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field of study. EXPERIENCE - None CERTIFICATION(S) - BLS for Healthcare Providers/CPR LICENSURE - Colorado State Registration for Occupational Therapy - National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy; Credentialing must be completed by the Medical Staff Office (MSO) within 3 months of employment This position has been defined and is governed by the Children's Hospital Colorado Medical Staff bylaws, continuation of employment is contingent upon the review and approval of the Colorado Health Care Professionals Credential Application within 3 months of employment. Failure to successfully pass the credentialing process may result in the termination of your employment. Such positions include: Advanced Practice Providers, licensed professional counselors, or Adjunct Medical Staff. Salary Information As part of our Total Rewards package, Children's Colorado offers an annual employee bonus program that rewards eligible team members based on organizational performance. If organizational goals are met for the year, the bonus is paid out the following April.
