Compensation

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $73920 - $95495.4. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&C's annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.

Are you passionate about Safety and Environmental Services? S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to join our Safety and Environmental Services function. As a HSE Analyst, you'll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team.

Working in the Global Health, Safety, Environmental & Sustainability department, this position will work with the corporate HSES team. This role will support the delivery of the company analytics by delivering complex information, including defining report requirements, performing data analysis, and preparing reports related to HSES programs to ensure compliance with legal requirements utilizing economical, effective, and efficient concepts. This position works closely with leadership to provide technical consultation, support, and guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, optimizing, and improving HSES management systems, operations, initiatives, processes, and procedures to provide decision support to help drive the business.
  • Evaluate program metrics including - but not limited to - TCIR, DART, air emissions, landfill free, greenhouse gas emissions, ergonomics, and incidents to support market benchmarking as needed and performance to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct basic external and internal research and audits, summarizing results for leadership review which may include but limited to production floor and facility audits.
  • Enhance/refine reporting through the design of dashboards and other data visualization techniques that enhance leadership's understanding of and access to key metrics.
  • Generates standard and ad hoc reporting and analysis of global information from a variety of data sources and provides basic information summaries and delivers weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly HSE and sustainability metrics to monitor KPIs and dashboards.
  • Maintain training records and documentation across the various shifts including but not limited to programs, procedures, and other related data entry
  • Develops, automates, and maintains internal HSE related SharePoint Online sites, including KPI dashboards, survey forms, newsletters, project centers, tasks, and issue tracking systems, etc.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure with multiple deliverables, some larger with longer timelines and others requiring immediate attention and completion.
  • Design and deliver technical training in person or via LMS or Virtual platform, developing operational procedures and instructional guides using MS PowerPoint or other related applications data, graphics, and effective storytelling to communicate insights and implications for decision making.

What you'll Need To Succeed:

Job Requirements (To select this job at a minimum you must have the following):

  • 3+ years of experience in an analyst role or combination of relevant experience in applying analytical methods to business problems, driving improved decision-making and outcomes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Sciences, Math, Statistics, Economics, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or equivalent experience.
  • A team player with strong collaboration and interpersonal skills working with coworkers and cross-functional partners to deliver comprehensive insights to Leadership at various levels, Safety Action Teams (SAT) and customers.
  • Apply a breadth of tools and analytical techniques to communicate by telling succinct, impactful stories to different levels of leadership a wide range of HSE compliance and sustainability related business questions.
  • Ability to apply and explain analytical and statistical techniques, familiarity with regression analysis, SQL, R, Python and other machine learning approaches a plus.
  • Strong ability and working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and various State regulations to translate business questions/needs into appropriate analytical problems, do high-quality analysis, and turn outputs into concrete, actionable business insights.
  • Previous experience with working Health, Safety & Environmental data management software and tools such as Intelex, Enablon, Cority, GaBi software, Sphera, Oracle, PowerBI, SharePoint Online, etc.
