Functions:
1. Initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control, and close allocated capital works and capital maintenance projects.
2. Provide a daily communications link as required to the Synagro Sacramento Facility Manager, to the Owner's Representative, Engineer, Construction Contractor, Director Captial Works and others as directed.
3. Provide daily, weekly, and monthly written reports as per Synagro procedures and as required.
4. Attend and minute daily, weekly, and monthly project meetings as required.
5. Monitor and control project scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety and risk as required.
6. Monitor and review monthly cost claims and the cost of changes including reviewing claimed remeasurement amounts.
7. Maintain project documents and records as per Synagro procedures.
Competencies:
1. Legally entitled to work in the United States.
2. Resident within a daily commuting distance of Synagro Sand Island WWTP.
3. Holds a valid driver's license and has access to a vehicle, holds a valid passport and can legally travel internationally as required.
4. Holds a bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
5. Has 15 years of construction management experience with a construction contractor, engineering consultant and or municipality, or equivalent.
6. Proficiency with office level computers, and specifically with MICROSOFT Office, Project, SharePoint, and OneDrive, ADOBE Acrobat, and REVU Bluebeam applications.
7. Proficiency in moving on a construction site, navigating rough, uneven ground, using ladders and access stairs (up to 120' tall), communicating with operatives.
8. Proficiency in managing construction contractors and engineering consultants.
9. Proficiency in written and spoken communication in English.
10. Proficiency in managing bespoke construction, engineering, and operational contracts.
11. Timeliness in all business matters and has a desire to learn.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree (BSc or BEng) or greater in engineering or equivalent.
2. Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent
3. Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
