Qualifications
Operator A: ($55,910.40 Min - $87,547.20 Max)
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma /GED.
  • Work experience as a Water Treatment Plant Operator B.
Licenses or Certifications
  • Possess and maintain Class "A" or equivalent Water Treatment Plant Operator license. Florida DEP license required within six (6) months of hire.
  • Must possess a valid state driver's license and obtain a valid Florida driver's license within thirty (30) days of hire or promotion.
Operator B: ($50,731.20 Min - $79,372.80 Max)
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma /GED.
  • Work experience as a Water Treatment Plant Operator C.
Licenses or Certifications
  • Possess and maintain Class "B" or equivalent Water Treatment Plant Operator license. Florida DEP license required within six (6) months of hire.
  • Must possess a valid state driver's license and obtain a valid Florida driver's license within thirty (30) days of hire or promotion.
Operator C: ($48,318.40 Min - $75,587.20 Max)
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma /GED.
  • Work experience as a Water Treatment Plant Operator trainee.
Licenses or Certifications
  • Possess and maintain Class "C" or equivalent Water Treatment Plant Operator license. Florida DEP license required within six (6) months of hire.
  • Must possess a valid state driver's license and obtain a valid Florida driver's license within thirty (30) days of hire or promotion.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operates a Class "A" Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Facility to control flow and processing of groundwater in order to produce and provide an uninterrupted supply of potable water to customers.
  • Observes variations in operating conditions and interprets meter and gauge readings and test results to determine processing requirements.
  • Complies with state and federal regulatory requirements in providing potable water to the City.
  • Completes, consults with and/or assists in daily technical operations of the assigned. Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Facility.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
