DOT Compliance Manager

Job Summary:

Hillpointe is seeking a DOT Compliance Manager at our Brunswick, Georgia, location that will oversee transportation compliance for our construction field operations. This role is critical in ensuring adherence to DOT regulations through policy development, detailed recordkeeping, audit deployment, and employee training development. The ideal candidate has experience managing fleet compliance and understands construction site protocols. The role requires a proactive approach to risk management and safety to safeguard our employees and the general public.

Essential Responsibilities:



  • Deploy policies and drive continuous improvement of procedures that ensure DOT compliance across all aspects of Hillpointe Construction's transportation operations.
  • Ensure that all necessary DOT documentation, including driver qualification files, vehicle maintenance records, and hours-of-service logs are accurately maintained and readily available for inspections.
  • Lead internal and external audits to ensure that all transportation-related activities meet or exceed DOT standards.
  • Prepare detailed reports of audit findings, making recommendations for process improvements.
  • Investigate non-compliance issues and deploy corrective action plans.
  • Work closely with other internal departments to ensure that all transportation activities are conducted in a compliant and safe manner.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of required reports and documentation to federal and state agencies, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Serve as a point of contact for DOT audits and providing necessary documentation to regulatory agencies.
  • Partner with Human Resources to oversee Motor Vehicle Record program compliance.
  • Train drivers, team members, and leadership on DOT regulations and fleet safety protocols.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on the status of compliance efforts, identifying areas of concern and recommending actions to mitigate risks.
  • Other administrative and leadership duties as assigned.


Requirements:



  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Three to Five years of relevant work experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Able to contribute positively as part of a team.
