We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Accounts Payable group. The ideal candidate will work with minimal supervision and will be responsible for performing a wide variety of process improvements, ensuring proper controls are in place. This role also involves assessing system health and system integration integrity. Additionally, the candidate will assist the team with high volumes of processing, focusing on efficiency and effectiveness. Interact routinely with accounting or business unit senior level staff and management personnel. Minimum Requirements
Major Accountabilities
1) Design, develop and/or maintain financial, budgetary, regulatory, statistical and other management reports. Ensure reporting is accurate, complete, and meets customer requirements and needs. Lead or participate in the design and development of new reports. 7) Provide a high level of service to internal and external customers. Respond to business unit inquiries or data requests from all levels management. Research and resolve more complex requests. Assist all levels of staff in the resolution of issues that require process changes, vendor reconciliation, error/exception resolution, and other specialized expertise. Provide directions to department staff in the resolution of customer issues. Export Compliance / EEO Statement

In order for employees to build strong relationships and to promote meaningful in-person interactions, hybrid employees are expected to work about 40% of their time in-person at an APS or other (non-home office) location. *Employees are expected to reside in Arizona (or New Mexico for Four Corners-based employees). *Working from a home office requires adequate technology and an appropriate ergonomic set up. *Role types are subject to change based on business need. |
