Overview
The Application & Document Processing Center receives documents from applicants seeking healthcare coverage and/or economic assistance. We enter their documents into an electronic case management system for Benefit Program Specialists to determine eligibility. The job includes opening and sorting mail to create batches of documents that can be scanned and digitally imaged before being entered into a client's case database. The documents are classified according to their type. We also organize them by household head and/or district where the client lives. These are merely a few instances of the categories. When documents are properly indexed, eligibility staff may access and process them. Furthermore, the job demands balancing quantity and quality while maintaining a two-day turnaround time for each document. The ADPC has developed numerous standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance document routing and accuracy. The ADPC offers a thorough training curriculum tailored to each new employee. A dedicated trainer with extensive expertise at ADPC will mentor the new employees. The option to telework part-time may be available once training is completed. Telework is contingent upon meeting all performance expectations." Who May Apply
This position, Program Technician II (Job Requisition #52778), is open to all State employees and external applicants. AHS BACKGROUND CHECKS: Candidates must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the position. In accordance with AHS Policy 4.02, Hiring Standards, Vermont and/or national criminal record checks, as well as DMV and adult and child abuse registry checks, as appropriate to the position under recruitment, will be conducted on candidates, with the exception of those who are current classified state employees seeking transfer, promotion or demotion into an AHS classified position or are persons exercising re-employment (RIF) rights. Environmental Factors
Duties are performed predominately in an office setting. Private means of travel should be available for occasional travel when appropriate. Incumbents must be adaptable and able to work within tight time limits and under considerable stress. Some evening and weekend duty may be necessary. Minimum Qualifications
Two years or more of full-time college coursework OR an associate's degree or higher AND two (2) years or more of experience at or above a technical level in program administration (such as administering components of a licensing and certification program, or records management). OR High School diploma or equivalent AND three (3) years or more of experience at or above a technical level in program administration (such as administering components of a licensing and certification program, or records management). OR One (1) year or more of experience as a Program Technician I with the State of Vermont. Total Compensation
