We offer a flexible hybrid work environment for Florida-based staff and may consider remote arrangements for highly qualified candidates located in the Eastern or Central time zones.

What you will accomplish

  • Plan, organize, and execute field verification efforts for habitat mapping, including GPS deployment, field logistics, and coordination with biological field teams.
  • Identify and correct mapping errors (omission, commission, and classification) through robust QA/QC workflows and detailed spatial analysis.
  • Work independently on focused technical tasks and collaborate intensively during team-based data integration, review, and reporting phases.
  • Develop, refine, and document GIS methodologies, protocols, and standard operating procedures to support consistency, accuracy, and repeatability across projects.
  • Build efficient mapping workflows using tools like ModelBuilder, Python, and geospatial databases to automate and streamline data processing.
  • Provide technical support for mobile data collection platforms such as ESRI Field Maps and Survey123, ensuring proper setup and data integration.
  • Collaborate with Program Managers, Directors, and other technical leads to establish and maintain wetland mapping protocols based on internal best practices and client requirements.
  • Support business development by preparing technical scopes of work, level-of-effort estimates, and schedules for GIS and environmental components.
  • Participate in client presentations, proposal interviews, and strategic planning efforts to help grow GIS and environmental services.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and awareness of external funding sources or policy changes that may impact project opportunities.
