Job Description

The Missouri S&T Athletic Department, a 17-sport NCAA Division II intercollegiate program competing in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC), is seeking an energetic, organized, and service-driven professional to serve as Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities, Game Operations, and Corporate Sponsorships.

This individual will report to the Director of Athletics and play a key leadership role in managing all athletic facilities and ensuring exceptional execution of game day operations, events, and engagement initiatives. In addition, this position will lead efforts to grow and enhance corporate sponsorships in support of Missouri S&T Athletics, helping to strengthen existing partnerships and identify new opportunities for revenue generation and brand alignment. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and collaborate effectively across multiple areas of the department

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of all athletic facilities, including scheduling, maintenance, repairs, and general readiness for practices, competitions, and events.
  • Continue to grow and enhance corporate sponsorships in support of Missouri S&T Athletics by strengthening existing partnerships and identifying new opportunities.
  • Manage and deliver comprehensive sponsorship fulfillment packages, ensuring all contractual benefits are met.
  • Supervise all aspects of game day operations across sports, including ticket sales, security, custodians, electricians, and parking, concessions, visiting team coordination, and overall event flow.
  • Coordinate and train game day staff, student workers, and volunteers.
  • Lead concessions operations, including product ordering, inventory management, staffing schedules, and post-event financial reconciliation.
  • Plan and execute special events such as the new student-athlete welcome barbeque, senior recognition, and community engagement initiatives such as Military Appreciation Day or First-Responders Day.
  • Assist the Director of Recreation and Varsity Fan Experience in creating and implementing an engaging, spirited game day atmosphere by collaborating with departments across campus and partners in the community.
  • Oversee and manage tailgates for all home football games.
  • Serve as game day supervisor for home events.
  • Attend and represent the athletic department at campus and community events.
  • Engage and represent the athletic department and University to a diverse group of individuals including students, faculty, staff, alumni, donors, recruits and parents.
  • Support the athletic department through other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends with occasional travel.
Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in related/ relevant area or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with overseeing scheduling and facilities.
  • Experience in sales.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a team-first, collaborative approach.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and capacity to work independently
  • Supervisory experience or leading a group of individuals.
  • Familiarity with NCAA rules and college facility requirements is preferred.
Anticipated Hiring Range

The anticipated salary for this position is commensurate with experience.

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
