EXCITED TO GROW YOUR CAREER? WE'RE GLAD YOU'RE HERE! The Event Manager II is the primary client point of contact for assigned meetings and events onsite at the client's campus. Manages meetings and events through the implementation of strategy, delivery of objectives and execution of logistics, while effectively working with clients. Responsible for coordination of all program planning, while providing unparalleled levels of customer service on all events. Works closely with clients to understand and meet program objectives/outcomes.

80% - Event Planning and Client Management

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for event hosts, providing expert consultative planning support throughout the event lifecycle. Collaborates closely with internal service partners to coordinate comprehensive meeting services, including (but not limited to) Catering, Facilities, Technology and AV, Executive Production, Security, Transportation, and Janitorial.

  • Defines deliverables for each assigned event and develops all supporting documentation such as the project timeline, event workbook, and communication plan. Manages all event details to ensure timely and accurate execution, including scheduling and leading site inspections.

  • Independently interfaces with client contacts and maintains a proactive, positive, and transparent communication approach to ensure alignment on expectations. Leads recurring status meetings with clients and service teams throughout the planning phase. Accurately tracks all updates and changes in the event management system.

20% - Onsite Execution and Support

  • Partners closely with the Onsite Event Specialist to ensure seamless event delivery. Provides clear direction regarding client expectations and conducts a thorough handoff of all event logistics. Leads pre-conference meetings to align all service partners.

  • Monitors event spaces and setups during execution to ensure services are delivered as planned and that the event experience exceeds client expectations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in meeting/event planning (including incentives, association, corporation) or hotel catering, convention, sales experience required.

  • CMP designation a plus.

  • Strong knowledge of program/event management and budget maintenance. Exposure to project planning/forecasting financial implications.

  • Prior successful experience in developing and maintaining key client relationships.

  • Ability to thrive in an agile, continuously changing environment. Prior experience in effectively handling multiple projects/demands.

  • Professional oral presentation and writing skills required.

  • Excellent computer skills, knowledge of G Suite products, Microsoft Office tools & ability to learn new technology quickly.

The salary range: $80,000 - $90,000
