| Location Site: West Valley Hospital, 525 SE Washington Street, Dallas, Oregon 97338Department: Nutrition Services Position Type: Full time, 40 hours/week, Non-ExemptStart Time: 6:45 am - 3:15 pm, Sunday - Thursday Your role with usAs a prep cook, your role is to prepare, cook, and fry high-quality food quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. You are responsible for maintaining consistency, quality, and speed throughout your shift while following all food safety and hygiene standards. You play a key part in the kitchen team, ensuring every dish meets the department's standards before it reaches the customer or patient.What you'll doPrepare and portion ingredients, including cutting produce in various forms.Stock and maintain station pars throughout the shift.Ensure all stations are fully prepped and ready for service.Operate kitchen equipment such as deep fryers, broilers, flat tops, and ovens.Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.Follow hygiene and food safety standards carefully.Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.Provide exceptional service through consistent food quality and presentation.Required qualificationsNo required qualifications.Additional informationThe strongest candidates will have one year of food service experience.Total rewards packageSalem Health's comprehensive benefits package prioritizes your mental and physical health, financial stability, family obligations and professional growth.
