The Role We are looking for a service-oriented team player to work on our Underwriting team as an Underwriting Operations Analyst - Operations Efficiency. In this role, you will report to the Manager, Operations Efficiency and be responsible for operations functions and process improvement initiatives designed to create more bandwidth within the underwriting teams. You will also be responsible for maintaining high-quality customer service to both internal and external customers and performing essential functions within the Underwriting department. Key Result Areas 1. Operational Support and Systems Management
- Execute system testing for rating and form updates to ensure functionality and accuracy
- Serve as the primary contact for underwriting staff inquiries related to Oasis and OnBase systems
- Maintain and update underwriting manuals, letters, and templates within SharePoint
- Monitor and update the Insurance Data Quality Dashboard to ensure ongoing data integrity
- Accurately index and electronically file documents and correspondence using OnBase
2. Process Improvement and Training
- Identify and support process improvement initiatives that increase team efficiency and reduce redundancy
- Contribute to departmental best practices by developing and refining standard operating procedures
- Lead training and onboarding efforts for new underwriting team members to ensure smooth integration and knowledge transfer
- Participate in special projects to enhance operational workflows across the underwriting function
3. Credentialing and Customer Service
- Process credentialing-related requests, including claims history requests and third-party inquiries, in compliance with internal guidelines
- Use OnBase Credentialing Workflow and eOasis database to perform queries, generate reports, and create necessary documentation
- Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to resolve credentialing issues and ensure a positive customer experience
- Demonstrate ownership of customer interactions by delivering timely and professional service

Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or high school diploma with equivalent professional experience
- 2+ years of customer service experience, preferably in the insurance industry
- 2+ years of experience in property and casualty underwriting required, preferably in medical professional liability underwriting
- Hands-on experience with OnBase and eOasis systems in both testing and production environments preferred
- Familiarity with operating in a fully paperless office setting preferred
- Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license preferred
