Service Technician - Fire, Access Control & CCTV \| TEKsystems's Client TEKsystems's client, a major player in integrated security solutions, is seeking a Service Technician to support commercial and enterprise-level service calls across Middle Tennessee. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity with long-term potential for the right candidate. If you're a self-sufficient technician who thrives in the field, enjoys solving problems independently, and has experience with fire systems, access control, and CCTV-this role is for you. What to Expect * You'll work solo, managing a weekly schedule of service tickets across various client sites. * A personal SUV or pickup truck is required for the first 6 months. * You'll handle service, troubleshooting, and upgrades for fire alarm systems, access control, and surveillance systems. * Expect a mix of hands-on technical work and professional client interaction. Key Responsibilities * Service and maintain commercial fire alarm, access control, and CCTV systems. * Perform system testing, signal verification, and upgrades. * Deliver on-site customer training and support. * Maintain accurate documentation and inventory. * Ensure compliance with safety and security standards. What You Bring * 1+ year of experience in fire/security/access control service. * Working knowledge of enterprise intrusion systems, fire systems, CCTV, intercom, and access control. * Ability to read technical drawings and pull wire accordingly. * Strong customer service and communication skills. * Valid driver's license and ability to pass a drug screening. * High school diploma or vocational training required. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
