Griffith Foods is a global manufacturer of food products. We provide a wide range of taste and texture components for food industry customers throughout the world. Our products include seasoning blends, dry mixes, coating systems, dough blends, crumbs, flavors, sauces and food bases that are used in an extensive variety of application from snack foods and processed meat and poultry to ready meals. Position Summary:

We are looking for an experienced IT Director of Global Enterprise Applications in Chicago, Illinois to drive modernization and transformation. You will lead our development efforts using Microsoft and additional technologies to enhance operational efficiency and innovation. Responsibilities include custom applications and packaged products development. As a direct report to the Global VP of IT, you will shape our technological direction and keep us at the forefront of the industry.

Key Roles & Responsibilities



  • Lead various development projects on a global scale, concentrating on expanding and updating our IT technology infrastructure to meet the evolving needs of the business.


  • Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets efficiently, ensuring timely and within budget project delivery.


  • Oversee the creation, customization, and implementation of IT solutions using the Microsoft tech stack, including .NET, X++, C#, SQL, Microsoft Dynamics 365 - ERP and CRM, third-party application support, and integrations to address business challenges and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements and solutions.
  • Advocate for the adoption and optimization of the Systems Platform, ensuring that IT systems are scalable, reliable, and secure.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the development team, promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Partner with external vendors and service providers as necessary to support IT initiatives and projects.
  • Remain informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, assessing their potential impact on the business to guide strategic decision-making.


Functional Knowledge



  • Successful leader of global development projects, delivering complex IT initiatives on time and within budget.


  • Technical expertise in Microsoft .NET, X++, C#, SQL, third-party integrations, GitHub, and Dynamics 365.


  • Skilled in developing enterprise-grade organizations and optimizing processes with effective communication.


Business Expertise



  • Experience in food manufacturing is beneficial.


  • Project Management: Proven ability to oversee large projects.


  • Vendor Management: Skilled in managing vendor relationships.


  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication.


Leadership



  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.


  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to translate business needs into actionable IT strategies and initiatives.


  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making.


  • An ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.


Impact

Responsible for overseeing Enterprise Applications for entire global business

Minimum Experience



  • Minimum 15 years of experience in IT development, with a focus on software development, systems integration, and project management.


Preferred Experience



  • Certification in Microsoft Dynamics 365.


  • Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing systems in a food manufacturing environment.


  • Experience with other Microsoft technologies such as Azure, Power Platform, and Power BI.
