Technical Writer II Responsibilities Include:
- Create IT-related documentation, including meeting minutes, agendas, and presentation materials.
- Develop content that meets user requirements and ensures readability.
- Update and revise existing documentation to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Maintain consistency in document format and style.
- Generate clear and concise documentation for complex IT systems and projects.
- Tailor documentation style to suit the needs of end users.
- Explain highly technical data in simple, easy-to-understand language.
- Ensure that documentation is accessible to non-technical users.
- Use word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, and scheduling tools effectively.
- Create visually appealing and well-organized documentation.
- Collect data and information from various sources.
- Convert complex data into a clear and coherent written narrative.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Technical Writer II Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
- Bachelor's Degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Plan, develop, and produce various IT-related documents and materials.
- Ensure that documentation meets the specific needs and requirements of users.
- Translate complex technical information into simple, easy-to-understand language.
- Tailor documentation to the comprehension level of end users.
- Utilize a variety of word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, and scheduling tools to create documentation.
- Stay updated with the latest tools and technologies in technical writing.
- Collect necessary data from various sources, including technical teams and stakeholders.
- Convert data into clear, coherent, and well-organized written narratives.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of documentation.
- Maintain consistency in documentation format, style, and content.
- Work closely with IT teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather information.
- Ensure that documentation aligns with project goals and user needs.
- Must pass the pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
