YOU

As a Senior Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of machines and equipment. You will use preventive and predictive maintenance processes to rapidly troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and quickly restore equipment to support the successful operation of the plant. You will assist in helping to direct the workflow of lesser experienced maintenance technicians and work with other maintenance technicians to solve problems, work with building leaders to optimize machines and equipment, and meet aggressive timelines. You will collaborate with maintenance technicians and managers to perform Root Cause Analysis for equipment failures. This position is Monday-Friday- 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.This shift is eligible for a $1.00 shift differential.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING(% of Time)

Perform preventative, predictive, and breakdown repair on all critical machinery, auxiliary equipment, as well as facility maintenance. Troubleshoot Electrical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic equipment including PLC controls. (75%)

Assist in determining available options and order parts needed to make necessary repairs to equipment and building (15%)

Machining / fabricating / welding parts for production equipment and process improvement upgrades. (10%)

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

If you can do everything listed above, you have what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:

  • Associate degree or equivalent college or technical school is preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance is required.
  • Maintenance & Repair: Ability to maintain, troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical power systems. Must have detailed knowledge of PLC controls and automation.
  • Reading Comprehension: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Analysis/Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Mathematical Reasoning: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Safety: Ability to consistently prioritize safety by demonstrating a safe work practice by promoting a safe work environment.
  • Quality: Ability to follow work instructions precisely, add materials accurately and maintain ISO documentation.
  • Work Independently: Ability to follow both written and oral instructions, including safety guidelines, work instructions, and company policies.
  • Computer: Ability to use the internet to research parts, communicate via email and use maintenance software program to record and accept work requests.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, see, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. This role operates large equipment and needs to constantly position self to maintain the operation of equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Regularly work around moving mechanical parts. Noise level is loud. The job may risk exposure to dust, heat and/or cold, wet, or humid conditions.

TRAVEL REQUIRED

This job requires no domestic travel.

WORK STATUS & LOCATION

This full-time, non-exempt position is in Gallatin, TN.

RELOCATION

Relocation is not available for this position.

PAY

$27.84 - $44.52 / hour
