Job Description

The Thompson Center for Autism & Neurodevelopment is pleased to announce an opening for Marketing and Communications Manager position. This position will work alongside the department's administrative leadership to manage communications. The Thompson Center is a growing organization with faculty, staff, and students from the College of Education, College of Health Sciences, MU Healthcare, and the School of Medicine.

Key responsibilities include:

* Develop comprehensive marketing plans to support the growth of the Center's mission
* Produce communications materials for publication to inform internal and external audiences
* Manage inquiries from news media and other external sources
* Create and edit written materials such as newsletters, brochures, and flyers
* Manage and grow social media engagement and presence on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram
* Work closely with collaborating schools and colleges on enhanced communication opportunities
* Apply strong attention to detail and prompt approach to all communication and marketing initiatives
* Perform other related duties as assigned

Shift

Shift Type: Enter Shift Type (8am-5pm, M-F, 7 on 7 off, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Credentials: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Hiring Range: $52,915 - $65,000
Grade: GGS-9E
University Title: STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS CONSULTANT
