Moog is looking for a Logistics Technician (Dispatcher) for our 1st shiftto join our team here in Torrance, CA. Our Dispatch Team here in the Military Aircraft Group is looking for a candidate who is well experienced in moving materials, running verification processes, maintaining traceability, handling issues, and logging issues to fix with a knack for efficiency. You will report to our Inventory Control and Shipping Supervisor.

Here's what you'll be working on day-to-day:

  • Process Material movement physically and systematically
  • Receive and process inbound and outbound material
  • Pull and put away material to respective staging locations
  • Perform inventory reconciliation
  • Manage transactions for Nonconforming material physically and systematically
  • Prepare paperwork and send out items needing for outside processing.
  • Complete Cycle Counts, Shelf-Life Management for paint
  • Expedite outside machining and processing through vendors as required to meet production schedules.
  • Schedule courier (Jet) pickups and deliveries for incoming and outgoing OSP
  • Create/prepare work order splits when partial lots are received.
  • Monitor assigned queues; clear any aging WO
  • Investigate and resolve aging WIP and any other projects
  • Ensure transaction compliance
  • Direct the activities of the production truck driver in the movement of parts and all other activity.
  • Support the timely meeting of production schedules by moving, coordinating, expediting and processing jobs throughout the floor.
  • Package and verify parts assuring correct paperwork is sent and received.
  • Provide direction to the activities to the team & production driver as related to vendor or Stockroom
  • Assure timely and accurate response to Customers(internal/external) inquires related to technical specifications on OP sheet, material, delivery, and quantity questions.
  • Participate in the normal dispatch material and paperwork flow.
  • Provide backup to the Dispatch supporting roles.

At a minimum, you'll need to meet these qualifications:

  • High school, GED or training equivalent and 5+ years or more of manufacturing experience
  • Dispatch or equivalent work experience.
  • This position require access to export-controlled information.
  • Computer skills such asMicrosoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • This position also requires a high degree of accuracy & maintaining traceability when verifying Nonconforming material, purchase orders, and the ability to interpret operation sheets.

Salary Compensation:

  • Pay range for this opportunity is $23.00- 26.00/hr

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, competitive 401K plan with enhanced matching program, and many region-specific benefits.
