PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Owens Corning Technical Insulation sales organization is seeking an OEM Inside Sales Specialist to support our Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Insulation business. This position is accountable to support protable sales growth for our customers and Owens Corning by providing customer inspired solutions in partnership with an OEM Sales Lead.

The OEM ISR must establish and maintain existing relationships with internal/external customers in the assigned accounts/product line and develop new customer relationships to meet our growth agenda. The ideal candidate will have a desired to learn OEM operational functions, margin enhancement, customer-level strategy, and key account-management best practices.

Location: This position will be based out of our Toledo, OH HQ or can be based remotely in the Columbus, OH region. Travel will be required periodically based on business need.

Reports to: OEM Sales Lead

Span of Control: Individual Contributor



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain and develop customer relationships

  • Build/maintain relationships with owned and shared accounts
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency
  • Educate customers on products & services
  • Maintaining customer contact list and market intelligent data



Know our customers



  • Understands customer dynamics and can navigate through various scenarios
  • Take appropriate action to meet customer needs
  • Develop a partnering relationship with team members, customers and influencers
  • Recognize opportunities and create win/win solutions to drive sales plan metrics
  • Attend customer/industry events or shows



Market and customer analysis



  • Provide customer pricing/job quotes (Price Deviation creation & follow through)
  • Analyze market pricing and competitive scenarios
  • Utilize sales reporting tools to identify customer opportunities and track performance
  • Participate in business initiatives, projects & kaizens
  • Gather & distribute competitive market intelligence



Know our products



  • Understands Owens Corning product offerings
  • Identifies and communicates competitive threats
  • Ability to communicate and sell value through differentiation



JOB REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's degree or related experience.
  • At least 2-5 years of sales or account management experience; OEM industry is preferred or comparable academic experience.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 25% of the time.



EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience making persuasive product presentations. Demonstrated ability to manage change.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work across all levels of complex global organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to create, present and defend business cases
