Preparation and painting of valves, valve bodies, and valve components, including application of "chase coats" to bare machined and un-machined casting.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Arrange work materials and paint supplies in and around workstation.
  • Load paint booth assembly track with valves and valve components following prescribed in order to maintain excellent paint quality standards.
  • Mix or assist in mixing paints in preparation to paint.
  • Maintain records relating to the movement of work through the paint booth system, job completion, equipment maintenance.
  • Perform daily and weekly routine maintenance of the spray booths, the painting equipment (nozzles, tanks, etc.) and the filtration systems.
  • Assist in maintaining inventories of paint and other necessary supplies; notifying the proper supervision when a re-order point is reached.
  • Perform routine housekeeping and ensure that the area operates within parameters which confirm to pollution and safety standards and requirements.
  • Routine Housekeeping - 6-S activities.
  • Follows all company policies including attendance and safety.
  • Demonstrates safe work practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

High School diploma or equivalent or a combination of education and experience

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 1-2 years pervious experience in a manufacturing setting ; previous assembly experience preferred.
  • Must have solid understanding of basic math.
  • Able to read blueprints and tape measure.
  • Must be able to work assigned shift with overtime as needed.
  • Must be able to comply with all safety guidelines and regulations
