Sentry is seeking a Corporate Compliance Analyst. This position will be responsible for promoting and enforcing compliance with applicable regulations to mitigate risk throughout the organization. Conducts compliance audits and reports gaps to business area ensuring the organization remains compliant. Implements and maintains an organization wide compliance platforms to track, store, and measure compliance matters. Collaborates with the business, outside suppliers, and procurement to market and maintain the most current and advance compliance software solutions.

What You'll Do:

  • Implements and manages large scale companywide compliance programs; to include the development of procedure and process documents, development and delivery of training relative to the programs, and cross functional collaboration with the impacted stakeholders. Drive the intended results. Training and education are generally developed independently, but at times may collaborate with SentryU.
  • Responsible for the development of new and emerging corporate wide compliance programs and software, as well as process improvement for existing programs; Including the identification of stakeholders; research and identification of third-party suppliers, collaboration with procurement impacted business areas, the development of the program, and training ahead of go-live. Project management and change management skills desired.
  • Tracks, evaluates, and collaborates on all new regulations impacting our operations, ensuring all impacted areas are aware of changes affecting their operation. Analyzes the risk associated with compliance issues ensuring proper prioritization based on organization impact. Collaborates with leadership of impacted area to educate on regulation changes.
  • Evaluates organizational risk, consults with legal as necessary, and provides guidance on resolving compliance issues to ensure the impacted area(s) make appropriate decisions and/or put proper resolution plans in place. Coordinates and facilitates discussions when regulation changes cross multiple functions ensuring all decisions and action plans meet the needs for each area.
  • Responsible for the compliance of marketing materials. Works collaboratively with the business marketing team to ensure pieces are compliant in nature. Responsible for development of the marketing compliance guidelines.
  • Implements and maintains the software. and the supplier relationships, required to track, store, and measure compliance programs. Responsible for training end users and stakeholders. Responsible for reporting and analyzing data from the applications.
  • Leadership of projects for legal, business units, and corporate functions.
  • Reviews, analyzes and recommends workflow and process improvements for business units and corporate functions.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned from time to time.

What It Takes:

  • Minimum 5 years of related work experience
  • Experience in at least one of the following areas: Underwriting, Product Development, Legal and Compliance, Claims, Hospitality and/or Life and Annuities. Extensive knowledge of the insurance industry and its business operations and products
  • Professional designations such as CPCU, AU, ARM are preferred. FINRA Series 6 or 26 registration is preferred. If either of these registrations are not active at the time of hire, the candidate must be willing to pursue either/if hired into to the role
  • Human relation skills to include the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management, both verbally and in written form
  • Demonstrated leadership, people, and process management skills, including time management skills and the ability produce results
  • Strong project management and organizational skills and the ability to prioritize task and assignments and complete assignments
  • Highly developed critical thinking and analytical skills; ability to independently research complex issues and communicate the issues in an articulate, easy to understand format
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders and work in a team environment
  • Advanced program management, Excel and Power Point skills required. Ability to meet travel requirements of the job
