A Brief Overview

The Development Officer, Corporate Relations is responsible for the engagement, cultivation and solicitation of corporate funders to support the mission of University Hospitals. The major focus of their fundraising efforts is securing gifts, grants and sponsorships from corporations.

What You Will Do

* Develop and execute major gift fundraising strategies in alignment with the priorities of University Hospitals to maximize philanthropic results

* Craft innovative corporate partnership strategies that propel UH's philanthropic objectives forward. These strategies will encompass philanthropic gifts, grants, vendor and equipment partnerships, and comprehensive corporate sponsorship alignment from local, state and national companies and corporations

* Effectively lead and ensure alignment of key stakeholders, both internal and external, in support of initiatives, events, campaigns, and special projects

* Appropriately steward assigned donors in alignment with IR&D stewardship policies & protocols

* Meet or exceed annual visitation, solicitation and attainment goals as defined in collaboration with IR&D and University Hospitals

* Facilitate the Philanthropic Corporate Compliance process for IR&D, in collaboration with institutional partners

* Engage Administrative Leadership, Physician Staff and Volunteer Leaders (Board) in support of the mission and vision of University Hospitals

* Actively participate in UH IRD development activities

* Lead special projects as assigned and approved by IR&D and UH leadership

  • Complies with all policies and standards.

  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
