Your responsibilities

Summary: The Project Manager is responsible for acting as the key liaison among all involved BILSTEIN sites & functions. This role is responsible for planning, execution, monitoring and closing cross functional and operational excellence projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages project teams without direct supervisory authority.
  • Defines project goals and scope in collaboration with stakeholders, aligned with strategic business objectives.
  • Plans and executes projects using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies, including the creation of Gantt charts or sprint plans.
  • Tracks project performance against scope, timeline, and budget; communicates progress and critical issues to leadership through structured reports and dashboards.
  • Leads cross-functional operational excellence initiatives (non-product projects), such as implementing online catalogs and developing internal tracking tools and SharePoint/Power BI dashboards for team use, in line with Agile principles.
  • Occasionally leads product development projects (Waterfall) from Design and Development through Purchasing, Quality, Manufacturing, and Launch.
  • Conducts post-project evaluations, documents lessons learned and drives continuous improvement strategies.
  • Improves product development processes through cross-functional collaboration.

Your profile

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional project teams.
  • Exceptional presentation skillsboth written and verbalacross all levels of management.
  • Expertise in Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SharePoint Sites, SharePoint Lists, automation tools, and Power BI (required).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Visio, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with SAP, Oracle and Smartsheet (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience in the automotive industry is a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent education and experience
  • 3-5 years' experience in Project Management, Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus
