Are you a creative storyteller with a passion for social media, marketing, and hospitality? The iconic St. James Hotel is seeking a Marketing & Social Media Coordinator to bring our brand to life across platforms and connect with guests in meaningful, memorable ways. What You'll Do:
As a key member of our Sales & Marketing team, you'll play an integral role in the marketing efforts of the hotel and its Food & Beverage outlets. This includes content creation, social media strategy, email and digital marketing, website maintenance, brand storytelling, and supporting sales initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating and executing marketing and social media campaigns
- Design engaging content for LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, and our blog
- Manage all social media platforms, scheduling and tracking analytics
- Maintain and update the St. James Hotel website with current and compelling content
- Develop and distribute marketing materials, newsletters, advertisements, and menus
- Monitor and respond to online reviews (TripAdvisor, Yelp, Expedia, etc.)
- Support tradeshows and events with coordination, logistics, and marketing materials
- Assist with photography, graphic design, and updating in-house displays
- Collaborate with departments to reflect changes in restaurant operations, events, and promotions
Qualifications
- BA in Communications, Media Management, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in a marketing/social media role with proven success
- Strong writing, editing, and content creation skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office, Canva and WordPress
- Knowledge of SEO, HTML basics, and email and digital marketing tools
- Social media savvy with a keen eye for trends and audience engagement
- Creative thinker with strong initiative and attention to detail
- Photography experience is a plus
