Summary:

We're redefining how an entire industry works. As Principal Product Manager for AI, you'll lead the team responsible for pushing the boundaries of what's possible with AI agents in professional services. This isn't about incremental improvements; it's about fundamentally transforming how CPAs work.

You'll own the AI core of our platform: driving accuracy improvements, building new AI-powered capabilities, and pioneering the next generation of agentic systems. Working within Thomson Reuters' startup-like AI division, you'll have the resources of a global leader with the speed and autonomy of a high-growth startup.

About the Role:

Drive AI Innovation

  • Lead product strategy for our AI agent's core capabilities, performance, and accuracy

  • Design and ship new AI-driven tools that unlock previously impossible workflows

  • Define the product roadmap for cutting-edge AI applications in professional services

Own the AI Product Experience

  • Establish frameworks for evaluating and improving GenAI product performance

  • Build experimentation processes to rapidly iterate on AI capabilities

  • Drive data-driven decisions on model selection, fine-tuning, and AI architecture

Shape the Future

  • Partner with engineering to architect scalable AI systems that serve thousands of firms

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI seamlessly into existing workflows

  • Stay ahead of the AI curve and translate emerging capabilities into product opportunities

About you:

AI Product Expertise

  • Deep understanding of GenAI vs. traditional ML approaches and their product implications

  • Experience with AI product evaluation, experimentation, and performance optimization

  • Strong data skills and comfort with quantitative analysis

  • Background in search/information retrieval, ranking systems, or LLM/agentic products preferred

Product Leadership

  • Proven track record of shipping impactful AI products at scale

  • Systems thinking approach to complex product challenges

  • Strong product sense and opinions on where AI is heading

  • Experience balancing "good enough" vs. perfect in fast-moving environments

Culture & Mindset

  • High agency and ownership mentality-you see problems and solve them

  • AI-fluent in your daily work and genuinely curious about the technology

  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to influence across teams

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations.
Eligible office location(s) for this role include one or more of the following: New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and/or Irvine, CA; McLean, VA; Washington, DC. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $177,380 - $329,420.
For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $154,000 - $286,000.
This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
