The Role:

As the Director of IS Applications for Providence St. Joseph Health and affiliated organizations, you will be the cornerstone of excellence in application and data leadership within our supply chain and procure-to-pay business domains. Located in one of the following locations: Renton, WA, Irvine, CA or Portland, OR. You'll be instrumental in implementing and supporting our strategic vision while maintaining superior data architecture.

What You'll Do:

• Innovative Strategist: Lead the charge in strategic development and roadmap deployment, ensuring seamless integration and operational support for application services.
• Resource Planning Expert: Direct resource utilization and planning to maximize efficiency, aligning efforts with organizational priorities, including comprehensive budget management within your focus areas.
• Vendor Relationship Architect: Foster robust vendor partnerships to ensure optimal service delivery and budget management, maintaining a keen eye on strategic and operational needs, including proactive quality and performance monitoring.
• Mentor & Guide: Develop and inspire managers and staff, cultivating a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within your team. Establish performance goals and evaluate progress to ensure personal and enterprise success.
• Collaborative Leader: Partner with REH executives, IS governance, and senior leaders across PSJH to ensure alignment and cohesion in strategic initiatives.
• Data Architecture Visionary: Uphold the integrity of application builds and data infrastructure, championing the successful integration of third-party products and services. Monitor application and data architecture performance using specific KPIs.
• Healthcare Industry Pioneer: Stay ahead of healthcare industry trends, applying new technologies through research and educational initiatives. Facilitate proofs of concept to introduce innovative solutions.
• Operational Excellence Advocate: Review and optimize operational processes to improve service delivery, increase value, and promote customer satisfaction, ensuring scalability, maintainability, security, and reliability.
• Project Management Leader: Develop comprehensive project plans and timelines, managing resources and communication with executives to ensure effective execution of strategic initiatives.

What You'll Bring:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree is required, Master's degree is preferred. Degrees in Computer Science, Business Management, or related disciplines.
• Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience, including managing technical teams, application development, and implementing enterprise technologies.
• Industry Expertise: Strong Knowledge of risk and compliance as well as legal and Healthcare domain with a proven ability to translate business needs into strategic solutions.
• Leadership Skills: Demonstrated aptitude for leading teams, setting strategic direction, and developing high-functioning organizations.
• Technical Acumen: Exceptional knowledge of current technology trends, software development standards, API governance, and application security.
• Engagement Ability: Proven track record of engaging with business leadership, including C-level executives, to effectively translate needs into business solutions.
• Self-Motivated & Detail-Oriented: Highly self-motivated and self-directed with keen attention to detail and exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
