We are looking for a Senior Accounting Manager to be responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of monthly and annual financial statements and related reports. In addition, they will manage the entire accounts receivable process. This position is highly visible to customers and management and requires a strong leader with the ability to prioritize, plan, direct, and analyze. This position requires the ability to work in our Kalispell office Monday - Friday, 8 - 5. No hybrid or remote schedule is offered for this position.

You'll report to the Director of Accounting in our Kalispell corporate office, focusing on these key responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement), ensuring compliance with GAAP and other accounting standards.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the AR department; including all aspects of the account set up and collection process, cash application functions, AR aging analysis, and the related internal controls.
• Assist AR staff in researching and handling more complicated transactions and problems, including communication with collection services and attorneys.
• Identify and implement improvement in accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Work with other departments to support business goals and initiatives.
• Communicates and exemplifies CityServiceValcon's commitment to employee and customer engagement; actively works with assigned staff to advance our reputation in the communities in which we operate.
• Provides leadership for assigned staff, including effective performance management, identification of training needs and development of training plans, and ensuring that policies, procedures, and guidelines are followed.
• Supports the company's initiatives, systems, and philosophies as appropriate.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks.
• Manage information requests during year-end audits and respond to requests for information during internal audits.
• Special projects and tasks as directed.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, or related field.
• 7-10 years of financial statement preparation experience.
• Previous experience with complex data analysis, including data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies to optimize reporting efficiency and quality.
• Strong knowledge of finance and accounting principles (CPA a plus).
• Proven experience in accounting management, including staff accountants, accounts receivable, credit and collections management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Prior experience with financial system implementation.
