Auria is seeking a
Senior Systems Engineer, with
Orbital Analysis experience
, for an opportunity to provide their expertise in the development of satellite operations solutions. This is a mostly remote position with some onsite requirements in Boulder CO.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:
- Configure ODTK and Astrogator to allow an operator to:
- Perform orbit determination, ephemeris generation, orbital position uncertainty estimates, and collision avoidance analysis
- Generate orbit maneuver plans for orbit maintenance and collision avoidance
- Generate simulations to validate accuracy of various orbital simulations and orbit determination techniques
- Different aspects of the development life cycle including requirements, design, documentation, testing, and deployment
- Interacting with the prime contractor and government leads to ensure that all system and interface requirements are consistent and valid across the solution
- Scripting for automation and integration of orbit analysis functions
- Engage customers for product demonstrations and analysis products and the ability to effectively communicate results
WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum 4-8 years of related experience
- 2+ years experience with requirements development
- 2+ years experience with test development
- Experience with Agile software development
- Automated test experience
- Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Demonstrated experience with orbit determination and astrodynamics techniques and operations
- Familiarity with standard astrodynamics tools including ODTK and STK/Astrogator
- Exceptional analytical skills and problem solving skills.
- Good organization, decision making, and verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of self-initiative and self-motivation with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Ability to work effectively in small team settings to solve complex problems.
PAY TRANSPARENCY: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level. $95,000 to $150,000
