The Community Relations Coordinator is Responsible for advancing the visibility and capabilities of MedStar Family Choice as well as health and education, through community outreach efforts in the MCO's service area.

Primary Duties:

• Develops and executes community outreach plans and educational activities to support MedStar Family Choice's business goals, member engagement, and wellness initiatives.
• Coordinates and leads Consumer Advisory Board meetings, compiles the annual report, and drafts the MedStar Family Choice member newsletter.
• Collaborates across departments-including Outreach, Health Education, Quality Improvement, and Utilization Management-to plan events and prepare relevant materials and speakers.
• Promotes MedStar Family Choice services by organizing and distributing monthly event schedules, managing community relations efforts, and representing the organization at external functions.

Ensures compliance with departmental policies, quality and safety standards, and regulatory requirements while demonstrating alignment with MedStar Health's mission and values.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business or related field (Required)
• Experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor's degree (Required)
• 3-4 years of healthcare experience (Required)
• Bilingual a plus
