Position Overview


Position Summary
The Auxiliary Operations Support Assistant provides vital day-to-day assistance to the Auxiliary Services team by conducting proactive space and service checks and supporting the coordination of events, dining operations, shared properties, and parking readiness.

Communication - Verbal / Written

  • Draft and distribute internal memos, emails, notices, and service alerts related to operations and service changes.
  • Maintain accurate records of communications including requests, complaints, and follow-ups.
  • Communicate with vendors and service providers to coordinate deliveries, maintenance, or support services.


Customer Service

  • Listen actively to customer concerns or issues, assess the situation, and work toward timely and appropriate resolutions.
  • Escalate more complex issues to the appropriate supervisor or department when necessary.
  • Ensure all inquiries and service requests are addressed or followed up on promptly.

Coordination - Operations

  • Support Conferences and Institutes with event setup and logistics
  • Respond to tenant concerns and coordinate with the appropriate stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of repairs

Comprised of self-sustaining entities, its strategic goals focus on operational excellence, revenue generation, and exceptional customer service. Business Services supports a broad and diverse customer base through several functional areas: Dining Services, Bookstore, Conference and Institutes, Post Office, Passport Services, Ramgraphix, Vending, Ram Card, Ticket Office, Parking and Transportation Services.

  • Experience in auxiliary services, campus operations, or student service areas
  • Knowledge of university enterprise systems such as Banner, 25Live or similar
  • Experience working in a higher education or public-sector environment
