Application Window Open date: June 6, 2025 Next review date: Saturday, Jun 21, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Sunday, Dec 6, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description Research Specialist: Kidney Genetics, Genomics, and Advanced Models Laboratory The Kidney Genetics, Genomics, and Advanced Models Laboratory at the Mission Bay campus of UCSF is recruiting individuals with expertise in human stem cell culture and in vitro cell model development to serve as a research specialist. The general responsibilities of this position are as follows: * iPSC-derived Kidney Organoid Research: The research specialist will conduct kidney disease research using iPSC-derived kidney organoids. Specifically they will improve kidney organoids as models of human kidney disease and enhance ability to conduct genetic and small molecule screens in kidney organoids. Characterization of organoids will be performed using scRNA-seq and immunofluorescence. Candidates will be expected to work independently and in a collaborative multidisciplinary team. The candidate will report to Gabriel Loeb, MD, PhD, the Principal Investigator of the Kidney Genetics, Genomics, and Advanced Models Laboratory.
