Essential Job Functions:

The Senior Manager, Patient Support Services will play a key role in supporting the company's reimbursement and patient support services for our flagship sleep product by driving transformation of existing programs as we prepare for the future of the product.

The Senior Manager will work with and report to the Head of Patient Access & Services Program for the Oxybate Center of Excellence. Ultimately, this person will be responsible for driving program innovation to ensure that customers have an optimal experience while obtaining our product through our central pharmacy or through our patient support programs. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced matrix environment with cross functional Jazz teams (Brand, Sales, Marketing, Access and Reimbursement Managers, Regulatory, Compliance, Privacy, Legal, IT) partnered to support patient access.

  • Identify, lead and support implementation of program/workflow enhancements, such as during annual reverification season, that improve the overall customer experience and patient access to treatment.
  • Drive innovation by seeking out opportunities for process improvements and identifying operation inefficiencies using data analytics, including but not limited to, enhanced customer engagement or points of intervention in the patient journey.
  • Supports the annual brand planning process.
  • Support team members with system integrations, as needed, to enhance programs with digital tech transformation.
  • Collaborate effectively with external business partners, including patient services vendors, consultants, and data analytics vendors, as well as internal departments such as Marketing, Sales, Analytics, Training, Compliance, Medical, Regulatory, and Legal.
  • Partner with Marketing to align on the patient communication journey (initiation and adherence), ensuring all messaging accurately reflects patient support services offerings, addresses patient needs, and aligns with compliance and engagement strategies across all traditional and digital channels.
  • Support end-to-end vendor management lifecycle, including sourcing, contract negotiation, performance monitoring, timely review of invoices/budget, and relationship management, for the patient mentor program ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance.
  • Coordinate with regulatory, legal, privacy and compliance partnersto facilitate timely review, approval and maintenance of team-developed materials, ensuring alignment with internal standards and external regulatory requirements.

Required / Preferred Education and Licenses:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required. A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in the consulting, pharmaceutical, or biotech industry; 2 years of experience working with manufacturer patient support programs including HUB models or working within the Life Sciences practice of a consulting organization.
  • Demonstrated track record of executing strategy in a matrix environment with complex systems is critical.
  • In depth knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturer compliance requirements, patient confidentiality (HIPAA regulations), product reimbursement and product access
  • Knowledge and experience in Medicare Parts A-D, Medicaid, and private payer policies, reimbursement process, health policy, areas of coverage, payment, coding, Specialty Pharmacy, and REMS.
  • Position requires 20-25% travel to vendor locations, conferences, internal meetings, etc.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills; Proven teamwork and collaboration skills with cross-functional work teams; Ability to analyze data to drive decision-making; Able to effectively manage competing priorities with strong sense of urgency; Ability to think creatively / innovatively striving for solutions to access issues.

Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive. For this role, the full and complete base pay range is: $142,400.00 - $213,600.00

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, and other pertinent factors. The goal is to ensure fair and competitive compensation aligned with the candidate's expertise and contributions, within the established pay framework and our Total Compensation philosophy. Internal equity considerations will also influence individual base pay decisions. This range will be reviewed on a regular basis.

At Jazz, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz's Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.
