Job ID: 98445

Do you want to work on complex and pressing challenges-the kind that bring together curious, ambitious, and determined leaders who strive to become better every day? If this sounds like you, you've come to the right place.
Your Impact
As a key member of McKinsey's Ethics and Compliance (E&C) Data & Insights team, you will work closely with program leaders to understand their needs and challenges, designing and creating data analytic reports and dashboards, tailored to their programs' specific context.
You will play a critical role in driving data-driven decision-making by analyzing complex datasets, uncovering actionable insights, and presenting recommendations to stakeholders. You will own workstreams and dive into multiple aspects of projects-this could include analyzing customer behavior, testing hypotheses to improve operational performance, developing data-driven strategies, or creating compelling visualizations to communicate findings.
In this role, you will:
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business growth.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms to provide real-time insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business challenges and translate them into data-driven solutions.
  • Test hypotheses and validate assumptions to support strategic decision-making.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Ensure data quality and governance by cleaning, validating, and maintaining datasets.
Your work will help ensure ethical and compliant decision-making by providing insights that enhance operational integrity, strengthen regulatory adherence, and mitigate risks. By transforming raw data into meaningful insights, you will empower teams to make informed, principled choices that uphold the organization's values and protect its reputation.
You will be based in the United States as part of our E&C's Data & Insights team. This team analyzes data and trends to identify risks, ensure regulatory adherence, and provide actionable insights that support ethical decision-making and organizational integrity.
Your Growth
You are someone who thrives in a high-performance environment, bringing a growth mindset and entrepreneurial spirit to tackle meaningful challenges that have a real impact.
In return for your drive, determination, and curiosity, we'll provide the resources, mentorship, and opportunities to help you quickly broaden your expertise, grow into a well-rounded professional, and contribute to work that truly makes a difference.
When you join us, you will have:
  • Continuous learning: Our learning and apprenticeship culture, backed by structured programs, is all about helping you grow while creating an environment where feedback is clear, actionable, and focused on your development. The real magic happens when you take the input from others to heart and embrace the fast-paced learning experience, owning your journey.

  • Global community: With colleagues across 65+ countries and over 100 different nationalities, our firm's diversity fuels creativity and helps us come up with the best solutions. Plus, you'll have the opportunity to learn from exceptional colleagues with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • Exceptional benefits: In addition to a competitive salary (based on your location, experience, and skills), we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, mental health, and vision coverage for you, your spouse/partner, and children.
Your qualifications and skills
  • Bachelor's degree in data analytics, computer science, data science, or a related discipline is required
  • 2+ years of experience performing data analysis in a compliance, risk or audit function
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field is preferred
  • Strong understanding of evolving ethical standards, regulations, and industry best practices
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis, data mining techniques, and quantitative methods
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, R, or Python
  • Strong communication skills for conveying ethical and compliance concepts to diverse stakeholders
