Position Summary
The Recruiter will partner with operational managers and supervisors, human resources operations and the RK enterprise-wide Talent Acquisition team to provide full life cycle recruiting support to the business. The selected individual will build and grow strong business relationships and in depth understanding of the business as well as achieving delivery on assigned requisitions. The Recruiter will also strategically execute employment marketing for all positions and divisions, external communications and create meaningful, long term business relationships with key stakeholders in the high school, trade school, community college and University arenas, as well as selected community organizations to promote RK opportunities.
Role Responsibilities
Relationship Management:
  • This person is the point of contact and TA subject matter expert to assigned business operations.
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with business operators, HR operations staff and educational/community partners.
  • Executes customized yet coordinated TA strategy under direction of the Talent Acquisition Manager.
  • Serves as subject matter expert on external and internal hiring process and system.
Delivery Management:
  • Responsible for filling staffing needs on assigned requisitions including requisition intake, sourcing, screening, selection and application processing through the applicant tracking system
  • Responsible for assuring all new hire paperwork is completed and all contingencies are met and the individual is scheduled for New Hire Orientation
  • Provides meaningful reporting on status of requisitions and applicant pipeline
  • Participates in job fairs, local college/university recruitment, and social media recruiting
  • Partners with RK Apprenticeship lead to promote the program and facilitate hires into the program
  • Participates in strategic employment marketing and branding initiatives
  • Provides logistical support for hiring manager training on Applicant Tracking System and Interviewing.
  • Partners with hiring managers to ensure effective and timely posting of positions.
  • Provides support to HR Staff regarding staffing levels, TA programs, candidate support
  • Engages applicants in a friendly and professional manner consistent with RK values; provide support to walk-in, electronic and telephone candidates.
  • Provides professional communication and interaction in person, on the phone and through email
  • Ensures each candidate has a positive recruiting experience with our organization
  • Serves as a local resource to candidates; understand, communicate, and answer candidate questions
  • Manages and organizes a high-volume work load while multitasking
  • Engages in compliant hiring practices and partner with regional TA Manager to ensure hiring manager compliance
  • Responsible for compliance/audit initiatives; including but not limited to: AAP, EEO, OFCCP
  • Participates as an active member of the Human Resources team
  • Follows PO process and meets budget requirements
Outreach Recruiting:
  • Conduct employment marketing and grass roots recruiting efforts to effectively promote all positions available at RK.
  • Partners with the Office of Economic Development, Workforce Investment Boards, Workforce Centers to promote RK
  • Establishes and maintains ongoing relationships with educational counsellors, teachers, advisors and career centers in high school, trade school, community colleges to promote the trades as a career option
  • Plan, coordinate and attend industry, trade and high school recruiting events to promote RK career path and opportunities at all levels based on audience
  • Design and execute programs targeted at high school, trade school, community college students to educate students in trades as a career and career paths available
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with counsellors, professors, advisors and career centers in selected community colleges and Universities to promote internship program and facilitate direct hire upon graduation
  • Plan, coordinate and attend industry and college, recruiting events to promote RK career path and opportunities at all levels based on audience
  • Design and execute programs targeted at Universities to educate students in RK professional career paths available
  • Builds and administers internship program
  • Network within industry contacts, trade members and associations for the recruitment of top talent
  • Plans and develops comprehensive outreach programs; including design, organize, prepare distribution of publications and visual presentations
  • Develop Community College relationships to influence and support the design of curriculum to support RK hiring needs
  • Drive RK brand awareness through participation and attendance at non hiring related community events
  • Coordinate site tours and shadow events to maximize exposure for potential applicants and community partners while minimizing detraction form production
Qualifications
  • Indirect supervision.
  • Requires the use of advanced techniques and knowledge within his/her function.
  • Applies diversified knowledge of applicable principles and practices to a broad variety of assignments.
  • Makes decisions independently regarding complexities and methods.
  • Supervision and guidance related largely to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts and policy matters.
  • Liaison to groups within and outside of his/her organization with responsibility to act independently regarding matters pertaining to his/her function.
  • College/University graduate with 7 years relevant experience or equivalent combination of skills and experience generally expected for specified technical roles.

Salary: $70,000-$90,000
