Responsibilities Physician Assistant - Oklahoma Heart Hospital The Physician Assistant (PA) at Oklahoma Heart Hospital (OHH) provides primary and specialized cardiovascular care under the supervision of a physician. This role is essential to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and improving health outcomes across inpatient and outpatient settings. Key Responsibilities: Clinical Care: Perform comprehensive patient assessments, obtain medical histories, evaluate presenting conditions, and interpret diagnostic findings to support appropriate care plans. Cardiac Stress Testing: Independently conduct and interpret cardiac stress tests, including treadmill and pharmacologic stress tests, in collaboration with the supervising physician. Documentation: Maintain thorough and accurate medical documentation, including dictating evaluations, consultations, and follow-up notes. Patient Relationships: Develop and maintain strong, therapeutic relationships with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members. Outpatient & Inpatient Duties: Manage new consultations and follow-up care in clinic, round on hospitalized patients, perform histories and physicals (H&Ps), and prepare discharge summaries. Qualifications: Advanced clinical knowledge and strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to work independently in a dynamic cardiovascular care environment. Experience or training in cardiac stress testing preferred. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to collaborative, team-based care. Current license as a Physician Assistant with the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure. Licensure/Certification: Current BLS certification required. Experience: Cardiology experience preferred.
