About the Role:

The Construction Specialist is a key support role within the Development team, responsible for overseeing key components of the construction process for remodels, new builds, and relocations across a defined geographic area. This role partners closely with Construction Managers to ensure accurate and timely coordination of floor plans, photo documentation, and equipment logistics. The Construction Specialist also monitors project progress, facilitates communication across internal and external partners, and helps drive projects to successful completion.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:




  • Project Monitoring and Support -Track progress of assigned remodels, new builds, and relocations. Monitor construction schedules, communicate updates, and escalate issues to Construction Managers when necessary, particularly near project milestones like remodel completions.
  • Floor Plan and Documentation Coordination -Request, track, and organize floor plans and required site documentation (pre- and post-construction photos) to ensure timely delivery and project alignment.
  • Equipment Order Management -Initiate and track equipment orders in coordination with internal teams and vendors. Monitor shipping status, site readiness, and payment processing to ensure smooth delivery and installation.
  • Cross-Functional Communication -Facilitate collaboration between Construction, Design, Real Estate, and Operations by maintaining consistent communication and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Field Readiness and Scheduling Support -Assess project status and recommend timing for site visits by Construction Managers, focusing on remodel completion and punch-list readiness.
  • Process Improvement and Data Management -Maintain and improve tools used to track project data, report on trends, and support continuous improvement of construction processes.
  • Additional responsibilities that may apply due to country, location, or department differences- Understand and manage cultural differences and work closely with the regional/global team to meet the demands


Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma
  • 2+ years in a similar role or industry and in a professional office environment
  • Basic PC knowledge with the ability to use the following software programs: Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Access, Internet, and OneDrive.


  • Some job responsibilities within the Construction Specialist job family may require the ability to read/use AutoCAD drawings, floor plans, measurements, etc.


  • Excellent written and verbal communication, oral presentation, time management, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interact tactfully with a variety of individuals.


  • Ability to use persuasion to gain support and cooperation from the audience (franchisee, store manager, co-worker) to achieve a desired course of action consistent with the organization's strategic goals and objectives.


  • High degree of detail orientation and ability to work within time constraints. Must have strong organizational skills, multi-tasking skills, possess attention to detail, and should be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to adapt to different situations and personalities, while maintaining a degree of personal integrity, utilizing problem-solving skills.


  • Must be able to work well independently to complete projects on time. Must also be able to work well with others on team projects.


  • Travel to and attendance at select FWH and territory meetings/training programs may be required. Willingness to travel if/when necessary.
  • Travel 5%

Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, qualifications, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.
