Overview:

**0.8-1.0 FTE, 32 - 40 hours per week.

Day shift, Monday-Friday. Shifts vary daily between: 6:00am-2:30pm, 7:00am-3:30pm, 7:30am-4:00pm late shift.

Must be a graduate of approved school of surgical technology. CST preferred.

Associates degree preferred.**

Minimum pay is $23.23 per hour. Part-time - Full-time, benefits eligible.

Job Description Summary:

Prepares and assists in surgical procedures by setting up equipment, instruments, and sterile supplies.

Job Description:

Essential Functions:
  • Prepares operating rooms for surgical procedures by setting up surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Assists surgeons performing surgeries by passing instruments and supplies.
  • Maintains a sterile environment in the operating room by following proper sterilization techniques.
  • Monitors patients' vital signs during surgeries and reports any abnormalities to the surgical team.
  • Handles specimens collected during surgeries and ensures they are properly labeled and sent to the laboratory for analysis.
  • Cleans and restocks operating rooms after surgeries are completed.

Education Requirement:

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology Program, required.

  • Demonstrates a theoretical and clinical ability to conform to standards of asepsis and infection control.

Experience:

Operating or delivery room experience, preferred.
