San Francisco Towers, Assisted Living Department Part Time, Fridays & Saturdays from 9:00 am - 5:30 pm, 16 hours weekly Summary: Assists the Life Enrichment Director in planning, organizing, and executing recreational activities that promote socialization and overall wellness for the residents. The Life Enrichment Assistant may be asked to assume department leadership in the absence of the Life Enrichment Director. Detailed responsibilities:
- Implement programs to meet the residents' individual needs, interests, and abilities, individually and through community participation.
- Assists in making provisions for materials and supplies. Maintains an inventory sufficient to complete activities as needed.
- Prepares and posts a calendar of activities. Continuously communicates with residents and family members regarding activities and information.
- Assists with assessments and maintaining up-to-date records, plans, reports, and evaluations of the program and resident participation and functioning.
- Assists with conducting activities and/or participates in activities while remaining engaged during the activity.
- Assist in scheduling and confirming locations and transportation for outings.
- Contacts and coordinates with outside vendors or groups as needed.
- Assists in providing direction to volunteers and vendors as directed by the Life Enrichment Director.
- Recognizes and reports concerns regarding residents' physical, mental, and/or emotional status to management.

- All employees are required to follow safe work habits in order to prevent injuries to themselves, residents, visitors or other employees
Competencies and skills: Essential: * Computer literacy; able to handle phones, copier, and other office machines/systems; emergency call systems. * Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization. * Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos Education with Equivalent Qualifications: Essential: * High School/GED Front Porch is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
