Position Summary:
This role serves as a clinical expert and educator in ultrasound, performing both routine and complex exams while leading operational, educational, and quality initiatives under the direction of the modality operations manager. The position also involves mentoring staff, optimizing workflow, ensuring equipment functionality, and embodying core hospital values in all patient and team interactions.

New hires may be eligible for a sign on bonus up to $15,000.00

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and Oversee Ultrasound Examinations
    Conducts routine and complex ultrasound procedures, selects appropriate equipment and protocols, and ensures diagnostic quality and patient safety.

  • Clinical Leadership and Operations Management
    Leads daily operational functions, resolves technical and scheduling issues, and collaborates with the Modality Operations Manager to improve workflows and quality.

  • Education and Mentorship
    Serves as a clinical educator by training new hires, mentoring less experienced staff, supporting student learning, and contributing to professional development initiatives.

  • Patient and Family Engagement
    Provides compassionate care tailored to each patient's needs, supports families during procedures, and promotes a positive and inclusive environment.

  • Quality Assurance and Professional Development
    Maintains compliance with hospital standards, participates in quality assurance efforts, and advances the profession through ongoing education, research, and presentations.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education

  • Associates degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

Experience

  • 6 years of experience as a Sonographer. Significant experience demonstrating proficiency in the operation of related imaging equipment, therapeutic equipment and related software applications. Experience training others.

License/Certification

  • Registered by the ARDMS with pediatric specialty.
  • Must meet, successfully complete, and maintain the ARDMS certification and registration.
  • BLS certification.
