V2X is growing! V2X is looking for a Systems Engineer II to join our team!

V2X is seeking a Systems Engineer II to join our Engineering team in Indianapolis, IN supporting development and integration of advanced systems including situational awareness displays, mission computers, avionics, sensors, mission equipment, and radar systems. As a Systems Engineer, you will work within a team of talented and experienced engineers performing Systems Engineering activities that include design, development or test at the system, subsystem, and component levels.

In this role, you'll contribute to system installation, test and troubleshooting, system maintenance, test procedure development, and test execution, ensuring high-quality solutions that meet mission-critical needs. You will collaborate within a cross-functional Integrated Product Team (IPT), where effective communication and teamwork are essential. Required Skills:



  • Familiarity with requirements development, hardware and software integration, and requirements verification
  • Exposure to installation, integration, and testing systems for air, sea, and/or ground platforms.
  • Ability and willingness for travel to support onsite integration/test events at different domestic and international locations.
  • Exposure to troubleshooting complex avionics and/or weapon systems including external interfaces and test equipment in real time when issues arise.
  • Experience with test execution, including assisting in test plan and procedure development.
  • Ability to support Trade Studies and analyze technical data under guidance.
  • Understanding of technical standards, principles, theories, and concepts with a willingness to apply them in problem-solving.
  • Ability to collaborate within multi-discipline teams and contribute technical insights.
  • Self-driven with a strong sense of accountability, able to manage tasks and deliver quality work on schedule.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite of tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain an Active DoD Secret Clearance


Desired Skills:



  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with DoD standards, processes, and regulatory requirements for defense systems development.
  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering methods, tools, and languages.
  • Previous collaboration with cross-functional teams on complex engineering projects.
  • Understanding of hardware/software interface design and integration best practices.
  • Ability to research and distill data into meaningful information
  • Current Active DoD Secret or higher Clearance


Education Requirements:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related STEM discipline plus:
  • At least two years of related engineering experience in systems, software, or hardware engineering
