Summary:

In this role, you will support the Vizient/Sg2 Life Sciences consulting team with a focus on pharmaceutical, medical devices, healthcare services and other non-provider segments. You will assist client-facing consulting teams with market research activities. You will develop research instruments, gather and analyze qualitative and quantitative data, and support project delivery. You will apply best practices in market research, data interpretation and storytelling with guidance from senior market research consultants to generate insights that inform client strategies and decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Support consulting teams on client engagements by contributing to the design, execution and analysis of qualitative and quantitative primary and secondary market research activities.
  • Assist consultants with executing market research projects aligned to specific client engagements.
  • Draft research materials including interview guides and surveys.
  • Conduct data gathering through interviews, survey fieldwork and desk research.
  • Compile research findings from qualitative and quantitative sources.
  • Provide preliminary data interpretation and insight generation through thematic analysis and basic quantitative techniques.
  • Draft presentations, Excel summaries and other project deliverables for internal and client-facing use.
  • Interact with clients on specific tasks such as research insight updates.
  • Provide project management support including market research-specific project planning, tracking of timelines and task lists.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance research approaches, tools or methods.
  • Other activities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred.
  • No experience required, 1 or more years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Foundational understanding of qualitative and quantitative market research principles and techniques required.
  • Experience across a range of research topics, survey data analysis, quantitative methodologies and qualitative analysis required.
  • Professional experience in a market research and insights firm, at a brand or category level for a Life Sciences company, with a large consulting firm, or a specialty market research firm preferred.
  • Experience working in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with data visualization tools such as PowerBI and Tableau is a plus.
  • Familiarity with generative AI (Artificial Intelligence) tools including ChatGPT to support research synthesis, brainstorming and drafting research materials is preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn from team members across disciplines.
  • Ability to work on multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $51,900.00 to $87,900.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
